Bahjat Abou Zeyd is a senior associate at AAA’s corporate department. He has over 13 years of experience advising on corporate matters, particularly in the Middle East and Europe.
He advises multinationals and local companies on a full spectrum of corporate issues, on the establishment and structuring of new entities, on a range of commercial and compliance issues, including intellectual property, consumer protection, agency and distribution, franchising, sponsorship, corporate restructurings and many others. He has drafted and negotiated numerous commercial agreements.
Bahjat represents clients operating in many sectors including education, retail, hospitality, construction and energy. Bahjat’s clients also include government departments, state-owned entities and private sector organisations in the Middle East that he has supported on a range of projects, including M&A transactions.
In addition to his legal work, Bahjat was associated with various international organizations including: Justice Rapid Response, as an advisor of the Board of Directors and the Permanent Mission of Lebanon to the United Nations, as a legal intern at the Human Rights Council.
Bahjat holds an M.A. in International and European Law and a Certificate of Transnational Law (International and Comparative Law at the European Seat of the United Nations) from the University of Geneva. He also completed his undergraduate law degree (L.L.B) at the Holy-Spirit University of Kaslik.
